Iran seventh at World Junior Table Tennis Championships

TEHRAN – Iran boys’ team defeated their arch rivals India at the 2018 World Junior Table Tennis Championships to finish in seventh place on Tuesday.

The Iranian team consisting of Amin Ahmadian, Amirreza Abassi and Navid Shams accounted for India by three matches to two to secure seventh spot.

China and Japan will contest both the boys’ and girls’ team event finals following a successful day for the two nations at the International Table Tennis Federation World Junior Championships in Australia today.

The 2018 World Junior Table Tennis Championships are being held in Bendigo, Australia from 2 to 9 December.
