Retail Prices of Goods Slightly Increases

TEHRAN - Retail prices of certain foodstuffs in Tehran slightly increased between December 27 and January 2. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) reported on Thursday that prices of eggs rose by 0.5 percent, fresh fruits by 4.3 percent and sugar by two percent within the week as compared to the preceding week, IRNA reported. Prices of poultry and tea remained unchanged, while those of dairy products dropped by 0.1 percent, rice by 0.9, beans by 0.3 percent, fresh fruits by 3.4 percent and red meat by 0.3 percent in the said week as compared to the prices in the preceding week.
