Hadi Choopan crowned champion of 2022 Mr. Olympia

TEHRAN – Hadi Choopan of Iran made history by winning the Men's Open trophy at the 2022 Mr. Olympia.

Choopan defeated Derek Lunsford to win the title.

The 2022 Mr. Olympia happened Dec. 15-17 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Olympia is the title awarded to the winner of the professional men's bodybuilding contest at Joe Weider's Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend—an international bodybuilding competition that is held annually by the International Federation of BodyBuilding & Fitness (IFBB).

The record number of wins is eight each by Lee Haney (1984–1991) and Ronnie Coleman (1998–2005).
