TEDPIX drops over 51,000 points on Sunday
TEHRAN - TEDPIX, the main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 51,609 points (2.51 percent) to 2,001,267 on Sunday, the continue the current week’s downward trend.
TEDPIX had dropped 16,861 points to 2,052,887 on Saturday (the first day of the Iranian calendar week).
TSE is one of the four Iranian stock exchanges, and the most important one. The other three ones are the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), and Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB).
Ehsan Asgari, a stock market analyst, said that the government’s measures for reducing the risks of trade in the capital market can help improve the market’s trend in the long term.
“Now, in the stock market, we are witnessing a reduction in the risks threatening stock market transactions, which can have an impact on the improvement of market trend,” Asgari told in mid-August.
