Iran’s enemies resort to terror attacks in fear of country’s power: MP
TEHRAN – Mohammad Saleh Jokar, head of Iran's parliament's internal affairs committee, recently issued a robust condemnation of the terrorist act in Kerman.
The incident unfolded near the tomb of the Iranian anti-terror commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, during a ceremony commemorating four years since his martyrdom.
Jokar underscored Iran's resilience and victories during crises, highlighting that these events exemplify the strength of the Islamic Republic. He noted that terrorists, motivated by fear of Iran's power, resort to disgraceful and cowardly actions.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Kerman, Jokar mourned the terrorist crime, describing it as a heinous act that failed to recognize the love and devotion of the people to General Soleimani.
Referring to the terrorist act as blind and aimless, Jokar emphasized the unity of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic system. He stated that the terrorists lack a clear vision of Iran's security and are incapable of confronting the Islamic Republic system, resorting to efforts to undermine the country's peace.
Highlighting the terrorists' failure in disrupting the country's security, Jokar noted that their desperation leads to disgraceful and base acts aimed at discouraging the Iranian people.
Regarding the media narrative, Jokar criticized Western media for promoting unreal narratives. He stated that terrorists and Zionists activate their media to exploit the terrorist crime in Kerman for their benefit, attempting to create a rift between the Iranian people and the country's officials. However, he assured that these efforts would not succeed, and fundamental actions against the country are unlikely.
Jokar warned against the enemies' unsuccessful attempts to promote false narratives, urging vigilance and the presentation of accurate facts. He emphasized that the Iranian people are vigilant and aware, and the Islamic Republic operates based on legal standards, transparency, and truthfulness.
The Iranian parliament is thoroughly examining the matter, seeking to provide an accurate and transparent account of the events in Kerman.
