DUBAI A top U.S. academic working in an Emirates University has died after being stabbed in the back by his wife while taking a shower after an argument, newspapers reported Friday. James Jackman, 62, died after being admitted to hospital with a knife wound on Wednesday morning, police told the Gulf News. The 31-year-old American woman, whom Jackman had only recently married, has been arrested and her case would be referred to the public prosecutor Saturday, police said.
"The man's wife called the police, saying she had killed her husband and needed help," said Brigadier Sharafudin Mohammed Hussein of Dubai's criminal investigation department.
