Iran's response to possible threats: decisive and urgent

February 2, 2024 - 18:58

TEHRAN - In a note, the Iran newspaper discussed the anti-Iranian statements of the American officials and wrote: The death of three American soldiers has brought the developments in the Middle East to a new stage.

An event that the United States initially turned into a cause to accuse Iran of supporting the offensive groups, and then made some American senators and media speak of a reaction against Iran. Despite the fact that Iraqi Islamic resistance groups claimed responsibility for this attack, in response to this attack, Biden directly pointed out the name of Iran as a supporter of the resistance groups and spoke about his country's retaliatory action against the resistance positions. This was while some American security officials stated that Washington has not yet received information that would show that Tehran was directly involved in this attack. While rejecting the accusations, Iran has emphasized that any military action that endangers its national and regional interests will be faced with a harsh response.

Javan: The role of the Islamic revolution in the decline of America

In an article, Javan newspaper discussed the decline of America's power and said: America's decline intensified precisely when, by formulating America's strategy in the 21st century, the Americans talked about the "New World Order", "Unipolar System", "New Middle East", "American Dream", "Creating a Global Village with America's governance" and all other kinds of conspiracies as well as the creation of ISIS. They followed the path of the collapse of Iran, but their hard and disgraceful failure in forming a new Middle East turned the dream of the American century into a nightmare. In addition to this nightmare, right now, in its strategic depth, Iran is talking about the necessity of the forced and immediate withdrawal of Americans from the West Asia region. The existing order in the world is going through its period of decline and the formation of a new world order requires a valid and comprehensive discourse, and this is the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has a strong, credible, comprehensive, and global discourse under the title " the advocacy of justice and resistance discourse against the system of domination" in order to confront the existing oppressive system.

Hamshahri: America does not have the ability to attack Iran

In an analysis, Hamshahri discussed America's position in the Middle East and wrote: The events in the region sent a big message to America that the world after the Al-Aqsa storm is different from the previous world, and certainly, in such an order, expressions such as hegemon and superpower are worthless. In such a situation, the Republicans tried to force Biden to give a strong and direct answer against Iran. But as said, the new order is not such that the United States of America, as the world superpower, can repeat what it did in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam. The conditions of the United States in the Middle East, the position of Iran and the major challenges of direct conflict with it, the competition with China and Russia, and the upcoming elections in the United States are other things that will rule out the occurrence of such a thing on a large scale. Now the Biden administration also admits that they should not declare war against Iran or any of the countries in the region. They should not repeat the experience of failure in Iraq and Afghanistan. They seek to avoid emotional decisions and not to create a new and big challenge for themselves.

Arman-e-Melli: Iran is an important place in the American elections

In a commentary, Arman-e-Melli discussed the holding of the American elections this year and said: John Bolton told the Republicans not to neglect Iran because this country will play an effective role in determining the fate of the U.S. elections. Even if the radical John Bolton did not give this advice to the Republicans, the candidates of the party would consider Iran as one of the important issues in the upcoming elections. Along with his rivals, Biden is preparing for the presidential election. Biden had promised to return to the nuclear deal with Iran if he won the election. Not only Biden did not return to the JCPOA in his four years as president, but he continued the sanctions against Iran during the Trump era. Biden is accused by Republicans of not pressuring Iran as he should. During his presidency, Biden followed Trump's policies regarding Iran. Of course, like Trump, he has not revealed his enmity with Tehran and has repeatedly stated that he does not want a conflict with Iran, but at the same time, he has not taken any effective steps to improve the situation in relations with our country.
