Iran Participating in 11th Philippines Book Fair

KUALA LUMPUR The Islamic Republic of Iran with over 130 titles of books in English and Arabic has taken part in the 11th Philippines Book Fair being held in the capital city of Manila which opened on Friday afternoon.
Filipino cultural and art officials as well as authors and other cultural figures were present in the inauguration ceremony in Manila on Friday afternoon.
The Iranian books being displayed deal with literature and arts, children and adolescents, social sciences, philosophy and history as well as religion and ideology.
The Philippines Book Fair has been held annually since 1989 and the Islamic Republic of Iran has actively taken part in it ever since except in 1999.
The 11th Philippines Book Fair will be open to the public until September 17.
