TEHRAN Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi said here on Saturday that the failure of Camp David negotiations on the Middle East was a foregone conclusion.
In a meeting with Palestine's Ambassador to Iran Salah al-Zawawi, Karrubi said the Islamic Republic of Iran had predicted the failure of the so-called Middle East peace process right from the beginning and now many supporters of the so-called peace process have realized that Iran's stance on the negotiations had been correct.
The Majlis speaker said the Palestinian nation have suffered the worst kind of oppression and they stood bravely against the occupation of the Zionist regime.
He recalled the stance adopted by the late Imam Khomeini concerning Palestine and said the Islamic Revolution has always supported the people of Palestine.
Karrubi voiced Majlis' readiness to sponsor a meeting of the parliaments to support Palestine and Holy Qods.
Al-Zawawi appreciated Iran's support for Palestine and called for a meeting of the Islamic states parliaments to render support for Palestine.
