Golestan textiles exported to European countries
TEHRAN—A company from Esterabad district in Golestan province has implemented the textile chain with a slogan themed ‘From Production to the Society’ and the majority of its sales market pertains to exporting to European countries.
Speaking on the sidelines of the recent visit of deputy head of Golean Handicrafts Department, Hoda Hosseini, manager of the company, said: “We have been implementing the textile chain in Golestan province for 13 years.”
According to Miras Aria, she said that the textile chain includes cotton cultivation, spinning, dyeing, textile production, needlework, and finally converting it to the products needed by the society including the vest, coat, gown, shawl, and tablecloth. She added that 25 artisans are involved in the company.
Pointing to the sales market of the products, she said: “The majority of our sales market pertains to the exports. The textile and handicrafts products are exported to Italy, the UK, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Norway and other European nations.”
Hosseini emphasized: “Although enthusiasm for these products is satisfactory in foreign markets, out main goal is to reach sustainable employment and stable income for all artisans involved in this textile chain.”
“We seek to gain access to more global markets. Because there are countries that are interested in Iran’s textiles and handicrafts. We should present our products in proportionate with the needs of the global market.”
She said Golestan province is the land of white gold. “If the officials pay special attention to the textile industry and support it, we will witness the boom and prosperity in this sector.”
Vast areas in the Iranian provinces of Mazandaran, Fars, Markazi, East Azarbaijan, Tehran, Kermanshah, Semnan, Kerman, and Golestan are under cotton farming.
