TEHRAN A head-on collision between a minibus and a car on the Khorramabad-Poldokhtar Road in this southwestern province on Friday night left three dead and two injured, head of the provincial LEF's (Law Enforcement Forces) Public Relations Department Mohammadreza Khosravi told IRNA on Saturday.
According to Khosravi, three out of the five people in the car died on the spot while two others in critical conditions were taken to a hospital in the provincial capital of Khorramabad.
Provincial traffic experts are examining the exact cause of the tragic incident, Khosravi added.
The road handling heavy traffic caused by frequent travels of long vehicles, its narrow span and dangerous turnings has been a scene of a number of deadly car accidents in the past month.
