Juventus Striker Trezeguet Out for a Month
"The player is suffering from a pulled hamstring. He will have to rest for a full eight days and will not be back in action for a month," said club Dr. Riccardo Agricola.
Trezeguet, who has scored seven goals in his first season in Serie A, underwent tests on Monday after he picked up a hamstring injury during Sunday's 4-0 win over Vicenza.
The Frenchman's misfortune could leave the way open for a recall for Alessandro del Piero, who has been out of favor since returning from injury earlier this month.
Juve Coach Carlo Ancelotti has the option of Del Piero or Yugoslav striker Darko Kovacevic as a replacement for Trezeguet.
Juventus are currently second in Serie A, three points behind leaders AS Roma and face fourth placed Atalanta on Saturday.
