KAYHAN Research indicates that men suffering from nutritional disorders are more likely to be affected with depression. According to a Reuter's dispatch from Moscow, these men are also more likely to face problems in their married life.

However, according to the April edition of the American ***Psychiatry Journal***, it is not clear yet whether lack of appetite causes depression, or whether it is depression that reduces appetite.

A researcher at Toronto University in Canada believes that lack of appetite causes severe psychological disorders. He also believes that those with nutritional problems usually feel depressed and face problems in their relations with others.

Foreign Currency Earnings to Be Handed In to CBI

ABRAR-E EQTESADI The shops selling handicrafts, hotels and tourist offices should hand in their foreign currency earnings to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and receive their equivalent of national currency. The decision was made by the Cabinet on April 12.

The Customs Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the CBI are also required to report the number of tourists visiting this country to the Tourism Organization every three months.

Quadruplets Born in Babol

JOMHOURI ESLAMI A woman in the northern city of Babol gave birth to four babies through a Cesarean operation at Martyr Yahyanejad hospital.

According to a hospital's employee, two of the quadruplets are boys and the other two are girls. She said the boys weigh 1,400 grams each and the girls one kilogram each.

The mother of the quadruplets, Shahrbanoo Babajan-Tabar, gave birth to her children following a pregnancy period of 32 weeks. This was her first pregnancy five years after her marriage.

Swindler Arrested

KHORASAN A man who swindled people out of their money by claiming that he could obtain visas from the German Embassy was recently arrested in Tehran. He used to charge his clients some 60 million Rials for each visa.
