SRINAGAR, India Two soldiers were killed and 23 people were wounded on Tuesday in a landmine explosion and a firing incident in the restive Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. A police official told Reuters the two Indo Tibetan border police soldiers were killed and eight soldiers were wounded when their vehicle hit a landmine in Kokernag area, 65km (40 miles) south of Srinagar, the state's summer capital. He said immediately after the explosion there was a firing incident at the same place in which 15 civilians were wounded.
