* Two music research meetings entitled "Review of Music's Written Works" and "New Music Technics in 20th Century" are to be held today and on Tuesday in on the sideline of Tehran International Book Fair, said Public Relations Office of the Music Center.

* 3rd Ta'zieh (a traditional Iranian play) Festival started work in Zavareh, Kashan on Wednesday. Some nine theater groups have taken part in this festival. The festival has been organized by the Dramatic Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Cultural Heritage Organization, Iran Touring and Tourism Organization, Center of Dialogue Among Civilizations and Isfahan Governor Office. Some 12 theater experts from Iran, Italy and several Islamic states delivered speeches in this festival.

* Two Iranian short films ****Dictation**** by Azita Shokouhi and ****Passing**** by Hafez Yavari produced in Iran's Youth's Cinema are to be screened in the International Competition Section of Homburg International Film Festival. The festival is to start work on June 2.

* Niazi Gallery is to hold a painting exhibition displaying works of Manuchehr Niazi on May 18. Niazi Gallery is located in Mirdamad Boulevard, Mohseni Sq.

* An Iranian short film ****Metal Skein****, ****Rainbow**** and ****Belief**** will take part in a South Korean International Film Festival. The festival will open on May 25. * Simultaneous with the ongoing Tehran International Book Fair, a book fair opened in Cultural and Islamic Guidance Complex of the city of Ramhormoz, Khouzestan Province. The exhibition will be open till the end of the month.

* An exhibition aiming to introduce the culture of Turkmen is being held in Agriculture and Natural Resource University of Gorgan City. Several books about Turkmen culture and literature, cloths of Turkmen people, handicrafts and residential place of Turkmen people have been put on display in this exhibition. Meanwhile several music concerts will be held on the sideline of the exhibition.

* Head of Karaj City's Association of Youth Cinema said the films produced by the association will be reviewed in a special session on May 13.

* On the occasion of Teachers' Week, a calligraphy exhibition displaying works of members of Kordestan Province's Association of calligraphers opened in Sanandaj. Some 40 magnificent calligraphy works have been put on display in this exhibition.

* Posters by Vahid Sabeti with social and commercial themes are being displayed in an exhibition at the House of Caricature. The exhibition will be open till May 21.
