KHARTOUM Sudan's president has dismissed his three-member team of advisers on peace affairs, including a cabinet member with ministerial rank, the privately owned *** Al-Khartoum *** newspaper said on Wednesday as carried by Reuters. The paper quoted Ibrahim Ahmed Omar, secretary-general of the ruling National Congress Party, as saying presidential peace adviser Mekki Ali Belail, who ranks as a federal minister, was among those dismissed. President Omar Hassan al-Bashir also fired peace advisers Mutrif Sidig and Joseph Lasu, who are junior ministers.
