SARI, Mazandaran Province The Iranian Kick Boxing Championship competitions started Wednesday in Seyed Rassoul Hosseini gym, Sari.

A number of 190 athletes representing 18 teams of 18 provinces of the country are to compete in the tournament.

According to the Martial Arts Federation, the main goal behind holding the contests is to pick up the members of national kick boxing team of Iran.

The sportsmen will compete in the weights of 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63.5, 67, 71, 75, 81, 86, and 91 kg, IRNA reported.

The top players will be invited for participating in the training sessions of national side and the world sporting event.
