BAKU The national boxing team of Iran arrived here Monday to take part in an international tournament.

Attended by pugilists of 15 countries, the event is to start in the Azeri capital today.

Some 300 boxers will compete in 10 weight categories during the four-day tourney, IRNA reported.

Turkey, Iran, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, United States, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt and Canada are among the participating countries.

Mojtaba Faraji, Akbar Ahadi, Mohammad Ashouri, Homayoun Amiri and Rouhollah Hosseini are members of the Iranian boxing team who will fight in the 51-, 54-, 60-, 75- and 91-kg classes respectively.
