TEHRAN Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Monday outlined the responsibility of different government institutions vis-a-vis the U.S. threats.

The Leader was apparently referring to the recent U.S. presidnet's branding Iran as a part of a so-called "axis of evil" and another report on a possible U.S. nuclear plans against Iran and six more countries.

In a meeting with the senior officials of the country, at the end of the Iranian year, 1380 (to end on March 20), the Leader explained the effective parameters behind the U.S. threats to other nations and the deterrent measures that should be taken to prevent the United States from putting into practice its threats.

The Leader dismissed any negotiation with the United States under current circumstances of military threats, IRNA said.

"Under the current sensitive situation, the next generation are looking at Iran and its vigilant nation and officials," the Leader pointed out.

Prior to the Leader's remarks, President Mohammad Khatami said that Iran will not hesitate to stand strongly to the U.S. threats.

"Iran will strongly stand against any bullying and extortion. This is the message of the Iranian nation and officials," President Khatami said.
