Bayern Will Bounce Back With Trophy Hat-Trick: Kahn

BERLIN Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn shrugged off the disappointment of missing out on the Bundesliga title by predicting that the team would win a hat-trick of trophies next season including the European cup.

"Next year you will be standing here and asking me how we succeeded in winning all three titles," the normally cautious Kahn was quoted saying in Monday's **** Bild **** newspaper.

Bayern beat Hansa Rostock 3-2 on Saturday to finish with 68 points, two behind champions Borussia Dortmund and one behind Bayer Leverkusen. Dortmund have also reached the UEFA Cup final with Leverkusen in the Champions League final.

Bayern were hunting a record fourth straight title after winning both the championship and the European cup last season.

Their third place earned them a spot in the qualifying round of the Champions League, Reuters reported.

"From this moment on we're very hungry," Kahn said. "I can imagine that next season it will be quite clear that we are the German champions."

Kahn said the signing of midfielders Michael Ballack of Leverkusen and Hertha Berlin's Sebastian Deisler would make Bayern hard to beat.
