TEHRAN -- Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in a statement Saturday warned the people against the conspiracies and threats by the United States.

The statement a copy of which has been cabled to IRNA said the United States has never stopped hatching conspiracies against the great people of Iran and it has used every possible means to make Iran bow to its pressure.

To regain its domination over the Iranian nation the United States has always been designing ploys but all its policies have been doomed to failure, the communiqué said.

He said the colonialist rhetoric of the United States toward Iran is an unforgivable insult against the freedom-loving nation and the entire Muslim world.

There are indications that the U.S. officials have realized that all the ploys they have hatched so fare have been ineffective to make Iran give in to its pressure and so the U.S. has opted for a military measure against Iran.

The statement said deployment of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, the preparation for attacks on Iraq and dispatching forces to the countries around Iran are all in line with the U.S. strategy to finally launch attack on Iran.

The IRGC warned against any move by some to sow the seeds of discord among the people, which he said, could prompt the enemies' military action against Iran under the present sensitive circumstances.

The Americans want Iran to become a puppet of the United States but Iran would continue to stand fast against the U.S. bullying tactics.

U.S. President George W. Bush had in his state of the union address termed Iran, Iraq and North Korea as "axis of evil" and accused them of attempting to develop weapons of mass destruction.

I n a written statement issued as a flagrant interference in Iran's domestic affairs, U.S. President George W. Bush said a few days ago, that the Iranian government "should listen" to the people's hopes," adding "As we have witnessed over the past few days, the people of Iran want the same freedoms, human rights and opportunities as people around the world.

"In the last two Iranian presidential elections and in nearly a dozen parliamentary and local elections, the vast majority of the Iranian people voted for political and economic reform. Yet their voices are not being listened to by the unelected people who are the real rulers of Iran," Bush said.

The IRGC referred to the massive anti-U.S. rallies in Iranian major cities and, in particular in Tehran on Friday and thanked the Iranian people for having a firm resolve to be always in the scene of the revolution.
