TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency)— A member of the joint commission for studying a bill on structural reforms of social security system said here on Tuesday that in case of Majlis approval, all the relief, insurance and aid institutions will be integrated under the name of the ministry of welfare and social security.

"The commission started its studies with the cooperation of officials from Social Security Organization, the Red Crescent, Welfare Organization, ministry of health, and Majlis members to deal with the ambiguities regarding the establishment of Welfare and Social Security Ministry," Morteza Kheir Abadi said.

"Since a huge sum of money is allocated to this plan the commission called for a ministry so as to be accountable to the Majlis and the public," he added.

"Considering the number of organizations in the field of insurance and relief, Majlis stressed for the establishment of an efficient organization, which according to the clause 29 of the constitution, would provide social security and welfare for every individual," Majlis representative from Sabzevar, Khorrassan Province, emphasized.

He further pointed out that the establishment of welfare and social security ministry embraces individuals in the fields of relief, insurance and supports so as to eliminate parallel organizations and integrated parallel institutes with the purpose of boosing their effectiveness.
