TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Regional countries should take Iran's progress and potentials as good omen, observed the secretary of Human Rights Headquarters of the Judiciary on Sunday.

Mohammad-Javad Larijani made the remarks while speaking in a meeting dubbed 'Negotiation for New Ideas' on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (Davos) in Jordan.

Larijani added that Iran is a reliable power and supports the interests of regional countries.

Turning to Iran's nuclear activities and the concerns of heads of certain regional countries, he noted that they are concerned about the hostile attitude of the U.S. toward Iran which will enflame the whole region, and the capabilities of the Islamic Republic should be accepted as a reality. "Concern about U.S. adventurous dealing with Iran will induce extended consequences in the Middle East and the whole world," he warned, adding, "Therefore, regional states should strongly express their worries about American war-mongering policy."

Pointing to the capabilities of Iran as a reality, he underlined that the nuclear program of the country is within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and aimed at the country's progress and prosperity. He underlined that Iranian scientist have obtained the technology without any foreign assistance.

"The U.S. has so far mediated in various peace agreements to establish security in the Middle East, but not a single one has yet borne fruit, and they could not prevent the aggression and crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians, he said.

Larijani underlined that the U.S., the Zionist regime and Western governments should acknowledge that the idea of establishing the state of Israel which would dominate the Middle East is a failed plan.

The Zionist regime lost the war against Hezbollah of Lebanon, indicating that it is a make-believe power.

According to the Human Rights Headquarters of the Judiciary, the official participated in numerous meetings and delivered speeches on Middle East affairs, international security and stability, significant capability of Iran in playing constructive role, and its abilities in peaceful nuclear technology addressing politicians, thinkers and officials present in the WEF in Jordan.
