TEHRAN -- A Chinese version of Abdollah Shahbazi’s “The Rise and Fall of Pahlavi Dynasty” translated by Liu Ji is to be published in China.

Liu Ji, during his visit to Mohammad-Javad Aqajari, Iran’s cultural attaché in Beijing, announced that the book had taken him three years to translate. Ji, who is a Persian language graduate, chose this book for translation during his one-year sojourn in Iran. The book reviews the memoirs of Marshal Hossein Fardust the former confidant of Shah Mohammad Reza --Bust of Nezami Ganjavi to be erected in Houston TEHRAN -- A bust of Nezami Ganjavi (1141-1209) is to be set up in Hermann Park by the Houston-Baku Sister City Association. Irada Akhoundova, President of the association, announced that although Houston Mayor’s Office has given permission for the erection of the bust in commemoration of Nezami Ganjavi, Baku’s Mayor has delayed it. Hermann Park in Houston city, US, is home to the busts of many international geniuses. Nezami was born in Ganja, one of the cities of the Persian Seljuk empire which is now located in Azerbaijan. ----------Persian short stories to be translated into Armenian TEHRAN -- Khachik Khacher is currently translating six short stories by contemporary Iranian writers into the Armenian language. He began the translation four years ago and the collection includes stories from Sadeq Hedayat, Sadeq Chubak, Nahid Tabatabii and Ahmad Mahmud
