Ayatollah Ahmad Mojtahedi Tehrani dies

TEHRAN -- Ayatollah Ahmad Mojtahedi Tehrani died on Sunday in Tehran aged 85.

He was one of Tehran’s outstanding ulemas and was the founder and manager of the Mojtahedi Seminary. He was buried in his seminary on Monday.
------Niki Karimi to judge 14th Vesoul Intl. Film Festival
TEHRAN -- Actress and director Niki Karimi is to adjudicate at the 14th Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema which will take place from January 29 to February 6.
Japanese director Masahiro Kobayashi and Safarbek Soliev from Tajikistan are also among the jury members.
------Two Ashura poster exhibits underway in Tehran
TEHRAN -- Two poster exhibits with the central theme of Ashura are currently underway at the Abolfazl Aali Gallery of Tehran’s Art Bureau and the Iranian Artists Forum.
A total of 144 posters have been put on display at the venues until January 24. Tehran’s Art Bureau is located at the Hafez and Somayyeh Intersection, the Iranian Artists Forum is located on Musavi St., Taleqani Ave..
