Veteran poetess Parvin Dowlatabadi dies at 84

TEHRAN -- Veteran poetess Parvin Dowlatabadi passed away in Tehran on Tuesday. She was 84.

Dowlatabadi was born in 1924 and had studied photography in Britain. She was one of the founders of Children’s Book Council of Iran and had collected a wide range of children’s book with the assistance of Leili Iman-Ahi.
She had also authored over 20 books for children.
He works include “Sparrow and Toad”, “A Glance at Children’s Literature”, and “One Actor”.
