TEHRAN -- The president of the International Paralympics Committee (IPC) has invited the Iranian president to attend the opening ceremony of the Paralympics in Beijing.

Sir Philip Craven extended the invitation to President Ahmadinejad in Tehran on Monday.
Meanwhile, paying tribute to the Paralympians, President Ahmadinejad said, “The event is full of hope and energy. There is no disabled human in the world. The Paralympics competitions can wipe desperation and failure out of human society.”
The Paralympians’ medals are 10 times worthier than Olympians medals, Ahmadinejad added in the meeting.
“Numerous activities in Paralympics sports made us one of the most successful countries in the world in this field,” Ahmadinejad stated.
He added, “We are going to do away with any limitations attributed to the disabled (people) for the sake of showing human abilities.”
