TEHRAN -- Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki has condemned the attack on an Iranian Embassy vehicle that took place in Baghdad on Thursday.

Gunmen opened fire on a car carrying Iranian diplomats on the way to the Kazemain district of Baghdad Thursday afternoon.
Those wounded, including two Iranian diplomats, another Iranian citizen, and an Iraqi administrative employee, are in stable condition, AP reported.
Mottaki told Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad, Hassan Kazemi-Qomi, to fully cooperate with Iraqi officials in the transfer of the country’s wounded citizens to Iran.
In Tehran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini criticized the United States, saying its harsh rhetoric against Iran fuels attacks on Iranians. U.S. statements “encourage inhuman behavior by occupiers and terrorist groups active in Iraq,” Hosseini said, AP reported.
