TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Ministry on Saturday summoned Pakistan’s ambassador Muhammad Bakhsh Abbasi over deadly bombing in Zahedan, a city near the border with Pakistan, which left 25 people dead and 120 wounded.
The decision came after the Rigi group, whose operatives have a history of fleeing into Pakistan after committing vicious and terrorist acts, claimed responsibility for the explosion in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan province. The Foreign Ministry protested a continued activity by hooligans and terrorists along Iran-Pakistan border.
Abbasi vowed to inform Pakistan’s officials of the matter as soon as possible. The ambassador denounced such incidents and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitments in cracking down on such groups
