TEHRAN -- Sculptures created by the Iranian artist Kambiz Sabri will be going on display in Dubai.

“I have been invited to hold a sculpture exhibition in Dubai and am now working on producing video art for Tehran showcase as well as making sculptures for the Dubai event,” he told the Persian Service of MNA.
He plans to hold an exhibition of his video arts in early summer in Tehran.
He went on to say that three galleries are selected for his Dubai exhibition which probably would be held in late autumn and during which eight of his works will go on display.
“Although Dubai is smaller than many of our cities, it provides a long term cultural and artistic program. Dubai officials intend to make it one of the largest art centers within the next ten years and that probably will come true considering their current efforts,” he mentioned.
The increased funding of artistic and cultural events will attract millions of dollars to this region in the near future. They are investing in Iranian artists who probably do not receive much attention in their homeland, he lamented.
Sabri’s recent work is inspired by social themes in Rumi’s poetry and he wants to stress how society can encourage an individual’s creativity.
