Iran’s Manavinezhad, Gholami miss FIVB World League week 3
Mohamadjavad Manavinezhad and Adel Gholami will not be playing in the 2017 FIVB World League week 3 due to injury.
Manavinezhad was on fire stringing up 26 points to become the best scorer of the Iran and Argentina match but he was forced to leave the court after tearing his muscle. He needs to rest for two weeks according to the doctors.
Gholami also needs to rest for a week to due to a groin strain.
Iran will travel to Poland to play the U.S., Russia and Poland from June 15 to 18.
The FIVB World League is the premier annual men's volleyball tournament with a total of 36 participating teams in 2017.
The 36 teams have been split into three groups of 12 teams and will play the preliminary round in a pool format over three weeks, before the best teams gather for the finals in each group.
