2 mining projects worth $60m put into operation in southeastern Iran

TEHRAN- Two iron ore concentrate production units at the total value of 2.66 trillion rials (about $60.5 million) were inaugurated in the presence of the Iranian Industry Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari in Zarand County in southeastern province of Kerman, Shata news agency reported on Saturday.
The production unit of iron ore concentrate of Arya Jonoub Iranian Company, worth 1.21 trillion rials (about $27.5 million) with the capacity of producing 500,000 tons of the product was inaugurated in Zarand.
The second project was the iron ore production unit of Fakoor Sanat Tehran Company with the capacity of producing 600,000 tons of the product and the value of 1.45 trillion rials (about $32.9 million).
The two projects are expected to respectively employ 38 and 250 people.
