“Always a Coach” unveiled
The book “Always a Coach,” written by Hasan Majidian, is about the coach martyr, Muhammad Abdi.
The unveiling took place at a bookstore in Tehran, in the company of his family, friends, and students.
At the start of the event, Hasan Majidian, the author, revealed that he had always wanted to write about martyrs since he was young, and his enthusiasm grew following Abdi's martyrdom, but he never imagined one day producing a book about him!
“When several of my friends and I began the work in 2011, we decided to go to all people who had seen the martyr, including his family, comrades, and students. During 5-6 years, we met and interviewed over 60 people,” he said.
He expressed how much joy he had conducting the interviews since he was so taken with Muhammad Abdi's personality. He also discussed their difficulties during the interview process, stating that they couldn't decide on a writing format at the outset.
“I had the idea to compile the speeches of all the narrators and write them down. The book is organized into four chapters by myself. His early years, his Basij organization activities, the chapter pertaining to his educational efforts, and the events in the province of Sistan that caused his martyrdom. However, because the chapter on childhood was so brief, we had to remove it, and as a result, the book only had three chapters. I also choose each chapter's name from his own words,” the author added.
Hasan Majidian pointed out that he gave the book the name "Always a Coach" right away and provided reasons for it at the book's opening. He asserted that in his opinion, Muhammad Abdi is still coaching, influencing children's behavior, and instructing.
This book, according to Majidian, is helpful for educational coaches and teachers who work with teenagers. Every young person who reads this book and observes Muhammad Abdi's behavior with his parents will learn something.
Hassan Abdi, the brother of martyr Mohammad Abdi, also said in another part of this event that he is 5 years younger than his brother. “Being obedient to his parents was one of Muhammad's characteristics, and he credited them for many of his successes. This trait was one of the factors that constantly worked in Muhammad's favor,” he said.
Hasan Abdi discussed his brother's level of commitment to his work and claimed that if he made the decision to accomplish something, he would do it wholeheartedly. He had a remarkable level of tenacity and initiative, and he was also very patient.
In the end, the journalist, Meysam Rashidi, stated that this book is special in terms of structure, and the author has done a good job of editing this book.
“The shortness of the sentences is a key aspect of this novel. We always urge writing students to write in brief sentences. This novel also has wonderful elements like the text's fluency and the characters' ability to maintain their tone, which makes it stunning,” he added.
Furthermore, this journalist mentioned that reading the book "Always a Coach" demonstrates that Hassan Majidian paid attention to every detail, that he was the trustee of the narrators' narrations, and that he shared his experiences with his readers completely honestly.
