NEW DELHI Two government employees in the Indian desert State of Rajasthan almost conned U.S. President Bill Clinton into paying "jumbo" parking fees for his aircraft during his March visit, AFP quoted a newspaper as reporting Monday.
"Two state government employees demanded rent' from Clinton for parking his aircraft in the hangar of the Rajasthan flying club and nearly succeeded," said the Indian Express newspaper.
"None of their bosses knew anything about this private deal." The Rajasthan flying club hangar in Jaipur is used only by state planes and is never rented out.
