Tractor to meet Al Sadd in 2025/26 ACL Elite

February 9, 2026 - 12:12

TEHRAN - Tractor football team will be seeking to continue their fine form with a fifth win when they face Al Sadd SC in the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26 on Tuesday.

While Iran’s Tractor have already confirmed their Round of 16 ticket, defeat for Al Sadd will - in all likelihood - mean the end of their campaign.

Tractor were only bettered by Al Hilal SFC of Saudi Arabia in the first six matchdays, with both sides the only remaining unbeaten teams in the AFC Champions League Elite this season.

Tractor sit four points behind leaders Al Hilal and will target victory in their first meeting with Al Sadd but will head into the tie having suffered a 2-1 defeat to Fajr Sepasi in their most recent Iran Pro League tie.

Al Sadd, however, will be confident of their chances after a recent surge in form which has seen them take control of the Qatar Stars League title race.

Their most recent record against teams from Iran is also good, having won their last three games with sides from the Central Asian nation. The match will be held at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.
