TEHRAN - Abolfazl Khatibi will participate as the sole Iranian representative at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.

Khatibi earned his qualification to take part in the Games in the competition hosted by Tokyo, Japan.

He will compete in Paralympic cross-country skiing event at the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.

The 14th edition of the Winter Paralympic Games will be held from March 4 to 13 in Milan and Cortina.

Paralympic cross-country skiing is an adaptation of cross-country skiing for athletes with disabilities. Paralympic cross-country skiing is one of two Nordic skiing disciplines in the Winter Paralympic Games; the other is biathlon. Competition is governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
