TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori -- facing a fresh threat to his grip on power after a magazine published photos of him with a man alleged to be a right-wing gangster -- is to sue the magazine for libel.
"The prime minister is working on a lawsuit and will file it within a day or two," top government spokesman Yasuo Fukuda said on Monday. "This involves the prime minister's personal honor," Fukuda, the chief cabinet secretary, told a regular news conference.
