Habibi: Iran Ready to Expand Cooperation With Kyrgyzstan
Habibi told Kyrgyz Minister of Transportation and Communications Kubanychbek Jumaliyev that expansion of ties with regional states has been given a priority in Iran's foreign policy.
He expressed hope that in light of cooperation among all regional states, stability and security would be restored.
He stressed exchange of goods, short and long term cooperation and establishment of small industries.
Iran, he said, is ready to transfer expertise to Kyrgyzstan in the fields of engineering services, road building, railway construction, cement plant establishment, house construction and telecommunications.
He added that Iranian contractors are ready to contribute to implementation of development projects in Kyrgyzstan.
Habibi also urged exchange of electricity, oil and oil derivatives and cooperation in the fields of light industries and auto- manufacturing.
Iran would examine the project for the construction of China-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-Turkmenistan railway project.
The railway and its link to the Tajan-Sarakhs railway will be suitable means for transit and transportation of goods and will benefit all regional states, he added.
Jumaliyev, for his part, called for exchange of meetings and talks, adoption of measures for promotion of mutual cooperation and implementation of the contracts reached earlier by the two countries.
He welcomed Iran's proposal for contribution by Iranian private sectors and contractors to implement development projects in Kyrgyzstan and also for export of the technical and engineering services to the republic.
