70 of Ardebil's Ancient Sites Registered as National Monuments

TEHRAN The managing director of the Ardebil Office of the Cultural Heritage Organization said, "We have taken necessary measures to register 70 ancient sites and monuments of Ardebil Province on the list of national monuments."
He added that 58 monuments of the province are currently registered. The first monument is related to the historical collection of Sheikh Safieddin Ardebili which was registered in 1921.
The Cultural Heritage Organization plans to maintain and administer over 1,800 ancient sites dating back to different dynasties, including religious sites such as Imamzadehs (mausoleums of members of the household of the Prophet Mohammad (S), ancient hills, castles, traditional bathhouses, bridges, and caravansaries.
