TEHRAN- Fandaqlou Namin Forest, which is located in Ardebil Province, is visited by thousands of Iranian and foreign tourists every year.

Fandaqlou Forest Park occupies an area of 4000 hectares and is located about 25 kilometers from Ardebil city, near the city of Namin. It has a pleasant climate and beautiful flowers and plants.

Namin Governor Rezaie said, "For the past three years a large sum has been allocated for building roads, establishing electricity and water facilities, and building 11 places for tourists.

Also, Rls.700 million has been allocated for the establishment of a building for education and a ski slope, which will most probably be completed by the end of this year." According to Rezaie, a project is underway to build a cable car line across Heiran pass to Fandaqlou Forest.

About 2500 foreign tourists have visited the area over the past year.
