Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi on Monday stressed that no deputy has resigned, and urged the parliamentarians not to take any measure in that connection.

Karrubi, talking to reporters after yesterday's open session, said resignation was not an appropriate measure for the deputies, stressing that the parliamentarians should stay in office and finish the responsibility that the people have put on their shoulders.

The Majlis speaker was answering a question on the reports that several reformist deputies had resigned in protest to a recent verification by the Expediency Council to approve a 60-billion-rial budget rise of the Guardian Council (GC).
