Camp Titin: Iran’s strike on a US Marine facility signals a wider strategic challenge

TEHRAN — Iran’s ballistic-missile strike on the US Marine Corps facility known as Camp Titin in Jordan could prove far more consequential for Washington than the damage inflicted at a single military site. The attack demonstrated that Iranian forces could reach a US position on the Gulf of Aqaba, hundreds of kilometers from the main theater around the Persian Gulf, while simultaneously striking or threatening American military infrastructure across several regional countries.
