TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – MP Salim Mar’ashi here on Wednesday highlighted the need to encourage strong participation of people in the upcoming Majlis elections, and called for removing the factors that discourage people’s participation in the polls.

Mar’ashi told the Mehr News Agency that the reformers should try to reinforce solidarity to succeed in the elections, stressing that they should consider the setbacks they have suffered over the past years in devising their Majlis elections campaign.

He recalled the emphasis by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Khatami to prepare the grounds for the high public turnout at the polls, stressing that this would decrease foreign threats against the country.

Mar’ashi, who represents Roudbar in the Majlis, rejected the idea that there is discord among the groups of the Second of Khordad Front, stressing that the difference of opinion in any political party will help its development and will give it more determination to continue its policies.
