TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- Prominent Iranian artists and cineastes all over the world should continue to react against the detention of Iranian documentary film makers, director Seyed Reza Mirkarimi told the Mehr News Agency here on Sunday. Mirkarimi, who has directed the films “Under the Moonlight” and “Here is Burning Light”, spoke in response to the long-term custody of the two Iranian documentary film makers: “It is not right to be sensitive to the rights and the future of our people just when they involve tension between our country and others, and pay no attention to their rights during a period of détente.”

He also expressed hope that political relations would not affect officials’ sensitivity regarding this case.
