Kazakhstan beats Iran in water polo match

TEHRAN – Kazakhstan edged past Iran in an international water polo tournament in the Kazakh capital Almaty Wednesday.

The Iranian team thrashed Kazakhstan’s youth side 13-6 Tuesday and overcame Uzbekistan 8-6 earlier.

Iran is getting ready for the 2006 Asian Games in the Qatari capital Doha.
