TEHRAN -- Iranian mogul of stage and screen Bahram Beizaii said that he is very sad that no high-quality recordings of recently deceased Iranian soundtrack composer Babak Bayat are available and called the musician irreplaceable.

The composer of soundtracks for about 90 Iranian films and several TV series, Bayat died of liver failure in Tehran on November 26. “It was very sad to hear that he died,” Beizaii sighed, adding, “He had an inimitable style and all of his works were unique.”

Bayat had composed the music for Beizaii’s films “Death of Yazdegerd” (1982), “Maybe Some Other Time” (1988), and “Travelers” (1992).
