TEHRAN -- Cartoonists Constantin Sioso from Romania and Mehiyeddin Koroghlu from Turkey have been appointed as the foreign jury members of Productoon, the first International Productivity Cartoon Competition.

Iranian members are yet to be announced, said the secretariat of the festival.

Javad Jasbi noted that so far works from 40 countries have been submitted to the secretariat on the theme of “Productivity.” The countries with the most entries are first Iran, secondly China and then Turkey. The festival, which is due to open on Iran’s ‘Productivity Day’, May 22, is divided into the following major sections:

“Productivity and Civil Management”, “Productivity and City Dwelling”, “Productivity and Nature”, “Productivity and Technology”, “Productivity and Culture”, and “Productivity and Mankind”.

A contest entitled “Productivity and Cell Phones” is also organized as a sideline to this event.

The applicants are asked to submit their works, with a maximum of three works in each section, no later than April 30, to the secretariat located at No.60, Ketabi St., Shariati Ave.
