BELGRADE Yugoslav champions Obilic Belgrade have sacked their coach ahead of their European Cup second qualifying round match with Bayern Munich on Wednesday. Dragan Okuka, who last season took Obilic to the title in their first term in the top flight, was fired following the opening round of the Yugoslav first division at the weekend. Obilic owner Zeljko Raznatovic told reporters Okuka was sacked for refusing to play a weakened side and rest key players for the game in Munich. Three Obilic players, Nenad Grozdic, Zivojin Juskic and Kuzman Babeu, were injured in the goalless draw with Miulicionar and will miss the Bayern clash.

Okuka is no longer the coach because he would not accept advice to field the `B' team his stubborness has left us without three key players for the match in Munich, Raznatovic told reporters. Obilic have appointed their former coach Mioljub Ostojic as Okuka's replacement. I will try to motivate the players and prepare them psychologically for the (Bayern) game, Ostojic told the Belgrade daily Blic. (Reuter)
