TEHRAN –- Aghajari Oil and Gas Exploitation Company of Iran succeeded in designing and manufacturing mobile oil separator (MOS) through localizing the related technology, ISCA news agency reported.

“The design and material procurement stages took 40 days,” project manager said and added that MOS was manufactured within 30 days.
Manuchehr Arezumand added that Marun and Gachsaran oil and gas exploitation companies had already produced MOS.
The new model of MOS is a manifold type applicable in various pressures for extraction of 1100 to 1200 barrels of oil per day, he said, adding, the extraction capacity can be boosted up to 5000 barrels per day.
The equipment has successfully passed field experiments under 400 psi and 650 psi pressures, said the engineer.
Arezumand continued the MOS is used in wells which experience pressure fall to prevent burning a high volume of crude by separating gas from oil.
“Using mobile oil separator not only protects the environment, but also reduces costs,” he added.
