TEHRAN (Press TV) -- The Iranian Women's National Soccer Team has been invited to play two friendly matches against the Norwegian national squad.

“The Norwegian Football Federation has invited Iran to hold a camp in the country and play two friendlies against their women's national team,” Fars news agency quoted Farideh Shojaei, the head of the Iranian Women's Committee, as saying on Saturday.
The Norwegian federation has reportedly agreed to finance the trip and camping charges.
Nearly 3 years after the formation of their team, the Iranian women have managed to capture the second place in the West Asian Football Federation Women's Championship in both 2005 and 2007. -
